As of June 2008, there were more than 1,000 peer-reveiwed journal articles prepared since June 1994, 14 years, with Fabry disease in the title. Many more articles were written that did not include Fabry disease in the title of the article but referred to Fabry disease as part of a Lysosomal Storage Disease article or other broader topic. More than 500 of those 1,000 articles were written since approval; of enzyme replacement therapy in 2003.
