According to our by-laws, the NFDF may have between five and eleven members on the Board of Directors at any time including the President/Chief Executive Officer (CEO). We currently have 6 directors, identified below, with a variety of skills and experience and most importantly generous enough to volunteer their time, energy and expertise to this worthy cause. The Officers of the NFDF are the Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, Treasurer and President. Being a new organization, the first member serving as the NFDF Chair is the President/CEO. After his initial term, the Chair as well as the other officers will be elected and serve according to the NFDF by-laws.
We are always looking for individuals with needed skill sets and experience to serve on the NFDF Board of Directors. If you have an education and/or experience in healthcare, law, finance, management, public/media relations, marketing, fundraising, education, or other relevant occupations; and you have an interest in Fabry disease support, please send us a statement of your interest and a resume. We are currently evaluating candidates to serve beginning in January 2007. Unfortunately, we cannot accept applications from any individual who serves on the Board of Directors of another nonprofit organization with a similar mission, that serves similar constituencies, or that competes for the same funding sources as the NFDF.
