Welcome !

There are several new events and initiatives posted in the Events and Initiatives link in the What's Hot section to the left. They include a meeting being held on Jan 29, 2012 (Atlanta, GA).                                               The European Medicines Agency (EMA) approved Genzyme's new Farmingham plant to distribute Fabrazyme(R) outside the U.S. We are waiting for U.S. FDA approval.                                                            Shire HGT filed for U.S. approval of Replagal(R). If approved, the medication could be available within six months of filing. With both Fabrazyme(R) and Replagal(R) available, the drug shortage could finally be over!                                                                                             The NFDF continues to offer free, confidential counseling and family assistance. See details below.                                            Request a wristband to help raise awareness about Fabry disease.
